EWH Telehealth
Clinical portal for virtual care providers
What this application does
EWH Telehealth is the clinical portal used by providers and nurses to deliver virtual care to members of the Employee Wellness Hub. It replaces the electronic health record they used previously for day-to-day virtual visits.
Clinicians sign in to this portal to:
- see their daily schedule of virtual visits and set their availability
- read and answer patient messages routed to them
- review a patient's medical chart before a consultation
- record prescriptions against an approved medication formulary
- write and publish after-visit clinical notes
How we use Google Calendar
Connecting a Google Calendar is optional. A clinician may connect their own calendar so that visits booked in EWH Telehealth appear alongside their other commitments and they are not double-booked.
We request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events
scope and use it only to create, update and cancel the events for that
clinician's own booked visits. We never read or modify their other
events, their calendar list or their settings. The synchronisation is
one-way: EWH Telehealth is the source of truth, and edits made in Google
Calendar are not read back.
These calendar events contain no personal or health information. The title states the visit type, the description holds an internal record number and a link back to EWH Telehealth, and the location holds the video-call link. No patient name, contact detail or clinical detail is sent to Google. A clinician can disconnect the calendar at any time from Schedule settings, which stops all further writes.
Who can use it
Accounts are created by invitation from a practice administrator. There is no self-registration. This portal is for clinical staff only — patients use the Employee Wellness Hub itself, not this application.
